Michelin North America - Review in Equipment category from Saltsburg, Pennsylvania
I also bought 4 of these Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires and within 7 months the sidewalls showed signs of dry rot. They look worse than a ten year old tire!
Michelin calls it "ozone cracking." They say it doesn't compromise the integrity of the tire. These cracks, which they say are superficial, follow the bead the whole way around the rim and all over the sidewall. My State Inspection mechanic noted on my receipt "I HIGHLY recommended the tires be replaced soon due to signs of dry rot!" Tread depth 7/32". I, like so many others, bought Michelin tires because of their past reputation.
I thought they took pride in their products and customer loyalty.
Well, NEWS FLASH, they have lost this consumer! My money will be well spent elsewhere and "I" HIGHLY recommend everyone else to do the same!
Reason of review: Bad quality.
