If anybody is having Michelin Tires dry rot within 1-2 years we are going to do a class action lawsuit. I am sick of paying for dry rotted Michelin tires on all my RV's.

Do Not Purchase Michelin Tires!!!I work in the Industry and have for the last 24yrs and It's only Michelin that does it. We need to start a Lawsuit against them.

I own a website that we can sign people up that have had issues like ours and get the lawsuit going. Michelin needs to change the UV in their rv tires now!

Monetary Loss: $2000.

Location: Washington, District Of Columbia

I have used Michelin tires for over 25 yrs but not any more. The last 2 sets dry rotted with over half the tread left.

It took and act of Congress to get them to do anything about the first set but they did give me a credit. The next set did the same thing so that's it.

One more thing the new Michelin tires I bought were over 3 yrs old so they actually had 6 yrs on them. Just replaced with a new set Of Bridgestone that were made 06/14.

i have a motor home with Michelin LT225-75-R16-LTX MX tires...6 tires...and spare..i only have 15,672 km or about 8000 miles on them the tires are leaking air....and are weather checked....

i need to buy new tires..i found out that the tires have a 5yr warranty....i bought them about 6yrs ago...so

past warrenty...Hmmmmm i always thought that when the tread was getting low you get new tires....i guess not....they want you to replace tires every 5 yrs even if you dont drive with them......

after complaining...michelin is discounting a new set....but i have to pay instalation,balancing,taxes....it will cost me about $1000

to replace tires with 8000 miles on them.....

i do feel safe driving Michelin tires, and think the company should be taken to court for misleading the comsumer.... i have a early 70's corvette with still 30 yr old BFG tires i bought back then...they seam to still work fine....

i also have a modified jeep with 36" BFG TA...when i can go to *** and back.....they are older than the Michelin...and still work great.....although i heard the Michelin bought BFG...not sure when.... RV

Worked at Michelin for five years as a first step tire builder and as a parent and a consumer I will tell everyone they are not safe! Michelin has been gassing sidewall since 2008! If you know rubber you know gas and rubber don't mix I refused to build rejected tons of material for being out of speculation and still nothing in 2011 I refused to build with sidewall beads that was so knotted.Quality department was overruled to keep from shutting down production

Update. Michelin took down the website by sicking their lawyers on me.

I don't have the $$ to fight them so I turned it over. Not sure if I am allowed to mention the domain name but it ended with sucks.com

Info to a site would be nice. Two sets of Mich tires in two years in under24k miles is criminal. Keep in mind the customer has to pay for tire disposal, balancing, remounting all because they can't engineer a sasafe tire that can make through a warranty - $1,200 for what????

I have 6 family vehicles with this dry rot tire problem. I am getting as little as 12 months out of brand new tires from Walmart before I see dry rot in the tread areas.

The only place I have bought tires since Montgomery Wards was closed nearly 20 years ago is Walmart, and that includes Uniroyal, Michelin and Goodyear brands. I am thinking it may be cheap Chinese tires (rubber) imported by all of them? Between 1973 and about 1995-**** I never had this problem, in fact I use to run out of tread in 5 to 10 years and never see dry rot in 10 years!!!

Now they have scary looking, deep, dangerous dry rot within 12 to 24 months!!! I have lived in Houston for 57 years so it is not a location, climate issue.

Hi, I also have tires that are completely unsafe after 2.5 years and 26000 miles. I am waiting on the tire rep at sears to see what will be done. I am sure I will have to pay more than I can afford to replace them.

The tires on my Ford Escape have given me trouble since I drove the off it off the lot brand new. Ford Service, examined the tires, said they plugged the tires, rotated the tires, then finally a new Ford dealer just showed me the dry rot on my tires.

Because I have plenty of tread on the tires and the tires are dry rotted, I feel that the tires should be replaced no charge! These tires shoud not have been used on the new vehicles. Now, Michelin wants me to pay 55% and they pay 45% for new tires. Why, so i can purchase more dry rotted tires and fill their pockets.

What kind of fool do they think I am! Michelin should be made to replace these damaged goods. I have risked my life and the life of my family on the road driving their dry rotted tires and they want me to buy more. What is the guarantee that the tires they want me to purchase are not in the same shape.

What a shame! What a shame!

I just had a blowout with only 7,000 miles on my 2011 Camry Michlins. It was on the whitewall, so Toyota replaced it. however i just purchased 4 new Michlins for my Toyota truck, so i am VERY worried about your bad luck...they are not inexpensive tires!

My RV failed inspection because of dry rot in 4 Michelin tires manufactured in 2007. 3 Bridgestone tires manufactured in 2007 on the RV had NO signs of dry rot.

A spare tire with the original sticker on the tread (unused) that was under the RV and out of direct sunlight also had visible dry rot. Inspector says this is a common problem with the Michelin tires.
